I guess what I'm trying to say is that, sometimes, someone might do nice things to you as long as it's low-effort and convenient, but when it comes to things that really matter, you can't really count on them. While that may mean they care (at least a little), you never know for sure, and that puts a burden on your mind, doesn't it?

My advice is to just be careful, man. Do what you know is best for you.
