A friend told me that, for her, the most important language is body language. At first, I thought she was joking, but it actually makes sense. Eye contact, smile, handshake — these things matter more than we think.

I don’t mean to use this an excuse to not learn verbal languages, though. I love learning new words from foreign languages, and I always wanted to be a polyglot.
